I have just come across your blog via british parent bloggers. I have 3 boys myself and was feeling rather broody yesterday, but I am not sure I could really go for a fourth. Respect!

A belated but heartfelt congrats on your pregnancy. I don’t think I could have got through my first pregnancy without refined carbs playing some part. All this “advice” for pregnant women – my head would be spinning.

Mm, those cakes look nice. Do you need me to send you anything else? I could get hubby to throw something together – apple and walnut teabread perhaps?

I feel really sorry for pregnant women. There always seems to be some new advice and none of it seems to be good news for the mother.

If cake allows you to eat something else so that you are at least getting something nutritious I say go for it! And enjoy it too!
