I have certainly gained the ability to not be so concerned with myself. Having children takes the focus in a completely different direction and I think that's good for the soul.I too can say without a doubt I earn my drinks at the end of the day. I'm enjoy a nice glass of red wine at the moment and eating chocolate chip cookies. AND there are no children attached to me at the moment. Does it get any better than that? I think not.Kristens last blog post..<a href="http://milkweedhill.burdenfamily.net/2008/07/look-ma-top-o-world-mama.html" rel="nofollow">Look ma! Top o' the world! Even if they deny it. And then two blocks later they announce "Oh, no! I'm peeing!" and I feel so, so vindicated.

I’m nodding along on number 2.

I’ve gained the ability to take one look at a child and know they need to pee. I can especially relate to the Mummy Explanation Filter - I use that on a daily basis to great effect - and I drink my nightly merlot without a smidgeon of guilt. One other thing I could add to your list is patience. Incredible amounts of patience.I used to have a fiery temper which would blow up at the slightest thing but over the past six years I have learnt to handle two screaming toddlers demanding something from me NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW whilst hitting me constantly with both hands all without strangling them. Something to be proud of! ;-)

Brilliant!
