Babywearing

Edward is one of those babies that does not like to be put down. And so I have had to buy a sling. Which is good because I get my arms back. But I wish he’d just go to bed already. Clearly he thinks a warm, soft bed with gently blissful sleep is overrated. But he’s a baby: he has everything to learn.

But he looks so cute in it that I think they should be issued to every mother as she leaves the hospital, because who wouldn’t want a baby that looks like this:

There’s a reason why the first three months are called the fourth trimester and this is it, only the bump is a little higher and it’s on the outside.

(I bought red because I wanted to make a statement about my babywearing earthmama-ishness. And also because that’s the only colour the shop sold.)

I haven’t had to use the bathroom with it on yet, but I’m thinking I might have to.

Slings ROCK! Tucker made me a ring sling for Cara and we used that thing until it was finally threadbare.

I’m getting a Baby Hawk Mei Tai for this baby. :)

Basically I got tired of looking for fabrics for a new sling. I really loved how versatile the ring sling was but this time around it’s just easier to have someone other than my husband do the work.

I like the color a lot! I didn’t use a sling much for Isobel…I don’t know why. I think I didn’t have the patience to tie it all up…also, she was the “easiest” of my three, so she would actually go down for naps without me there! Amazing, I know…

I just checked this out Amy – great choice. Was there anything you didn’t like about the ring sling that made you go for the Mei Tai this time?
