Thank you! So few women talk about their ass. It is comforting to be able to read truth and get a better idea of what I may be in for in the future when I finally accumulate the guts to show my nether regions again to my doctor. I have found mothers who breezed through birth shocked when I mention that something may be a bit different down there, they don’t want to talk about my arse (nor me with them) and are useless when it comes to advice. I will never forget that searing pain, holding myself in all manner of positions whilst trying to pass a bowel movement – biting my lip all the while desperate to not scream in pain for fear of distressing anyone who may be trying to visit their new family member. Thank goodness for me the pain has mostly subsided (partly thanks to time and my newfound respect for fibre and it’s perfect poo making qualities), it’s just the mess that remains. Unlike you however I am not so sure that my family is complete so I’m sure I’ll be in for worse before better. Look forward to hearing how it goes. Thank you for your insight.

unfortunately, I can relate. ugh. and only after 2 babies. ugh again. I have an appointment this week for a full array of complaints. I’m thinking mirena is the next foreign body that will grace my uterus. ??? I don’t know if I’m up for more pregnancies or deliveries.

My friend has a similar problem and actually has to have her bladder taped up because it has ‘dropped’. The things we mothers go through.

You are so hilarious, Ella. Oh, I can so relate with a lot of this. For my first born, the midwife had me push prior to me actually feeling like I needed to push. So I pushed for literally hours. It was awful. So, needless to say what all that pushing left me with in the end. I couldn’t sit straight for months. Time has mostly healed all my baby battle scars…

I REALLY want a caesarean for my third child, for all the reasons you’ve outlined above. I’m a complete prude, and it almost killed me to have a full medical team viewing my undercarriage, frankly I’d rather they were viewing my spleen.

I hope everything works out, you’re very, very brave.

I’ve had to deal with haemorrhoids, but it might actually have been caused by the change in my diet since being with my kids’ father. He doesn’t do veges anything like I used to.
Other than that, there was that whole wee-when-I-laugh thing…
