Poo. Poop. Whatever you want to call it, no-one warns you how much of early parenthood is taken up by it. With four small children we have had our fair share of it with poops in the bath, a trail of poopy deposits across the floor during potty training, the dogs that would eat it, the time I took one for the team when Matthew dragged Ben mid-poo out of the bath and I caught it in my hand, the times they don’t poo often enough and the times they poo too much (much too much) and my all-time favourite (*not really) whereby I added the skill of manual extraction to my parenting CV.
